Youth Swim Lessons

Our program offers a complete swimming progression for the swimmer and allows the parent to better know how their swimmer is growing. There will be mid-session reports and certificates of completion with clear understanding of your child's skill level. This curriculum accommodates students of varying abilities to help foster a sense of achievement as swimmers progress between levels. Through this approach, advanced swimmers flow more easily to high levels while swimmers who need more instruction can learn at their own pace. This results in more confident swimmers who stick with lessons and develop a love for swimming that can last a lifetime!
Aqua Stand Up
This exciting and fun small group training program inspired by paddle boarding mixed with different fitness techniques like H.I.I.T. (High Intensity Interval Training), Pilates, Yoga and muscular conditioning. It is one of the best balance workouts choreographed to music inspired by Stand Up Paddle Boarding. This program is great for all ages, the board is very stable so you don' need to be an expert to stand up on it. Come and check it out!
Preschool Family Swim
Come and enjoy the opportunity to play, swim and build confidence with your children ages 5 & under during a quiet time in the pool. Children must have an accompanying parent or guardian in the water within arms reach at all times Lifejackets must also be coast guard approved. No water wings please.

When it comes to emergencies, are you the first to respond or take charge? If you enjoy helping people and are interested in learning how to save lives, we have an opportunity for you!
The Grants Pass Family YMCA is offering the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course to train and certify
individuals on preventing risks and responding to emergencies in and around aquatics facilities.
Certification includes: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen administration.
Join the YMCA GPS Swim Team. Improve your skills, set personal goals and achieve them with the camaraderie of other swimmers. Swimming develops endurance, strength, and flexibility! Swim team is a great off season sport. Available options run year-round or summer only.
