Group Exercise and Specialty Class Descriptions
Classes are listed in alphabetical order.
Specialty classes are designated with an * and have an additional fee (see table below).

AB LAB - 15 minutes of floor exercises to tighten, tone and firm your mid section.

AB LAB - 30 minutes of floor exercises to tighten, tone and firm your mid section.

Beginning Level Yoga - Hatha and Vinyassa style classes create a blend of held poses, dynamic movement, and breathing to enhance strength, endurance and balance while reducing stress. Challenging, gentle and safe for the total beginner.

Body Sculpt - (intermediate and advanced fitness levels) Tighten tone and sculpt your body into a work of art in this 55 minute class utilizing body weight, balls, bands and and free weight exercises.

Boot Camp - Back to basics, exercise training that works your body from top to bottom.

Cycle - Stationary Group Cycling Classes, {all levels}. Cycles available on a first come basis, stop by the courtesy desk to pick-up a cycle number.

Cycle & Stretch - Class will begin in the Gym with a dynamic warm up followed by 20 min. of group cycling and ending with athletic stretching in the Collins Classroom. Cycles available on a first come basis, stop by the courtesy desk to pick-up a cycle number.

GET FIT for Youth - Improve Physical Fitness. Curl-ups/ Walk-Run/ Pull-ups/ Push-ups/ Shuttle Run/ V-Sit Reach, (Get in shape to meet the presidents challenge).

Hatha Yoga - centers on asanas, or physical poses. Ha means sun and tha means moon, creating complementary forces. In Hatha Yoga, asanas are held for varying lengths of time and most poses can be modified to make them more appropriate for persons with lower fitness levels.

Kickboxing - (all levels) an aerobic exercise class that combines martial arts style kicks, blocks and punches in a dynamic format designed to provide a total body workout.

Low Impact Aerobics - offers a challenging, balanced, fun class for participants of all ages and fitness levels.

Pilates Based Mat Work - Pilates mat classes are similar to Yoga. However instead of holding a static pose, as in Yoga class the participants experience a flow of movement. Take off your sneakers and go to the mat for increased strength, and overall flexibility.

Piloga - The best of both worlds, combining Hatha Yoga and Pilates based mat work.

Program Set-Up A Certified Trainer will work one-on-one with you to introduce you to the equipment and set up a personalized fitness program. Personal Training Services offered @ $30 per one hour session for YMCA members & $30 for Non-members (Non-members must pay the daily admission fee in addition to the program fee.)

Running Group - This group is designed to support runners working to achieve their running goals. Whether you're training for a race or just working to improve your endurance and fitness level, come join us for a fun run! The pace and course length of this weekly run will vary. No need to register, just wear your running shoes and meet in the front lobby. Intermediate level running, 5 miles & up.

Senior Sneakers - Low impact aerobics, strength training and stretching.

Senior Stretch - Gentle morning stretch and tone exercises for seniors.

S.O.S. Seriously Outrageous Shape * - Group Personal Training Class. A great way to boost your workout intensity and keep you accountable under the watchful eye of an ACE Certified Personal Trainer.

Step - (all levels) Aerobic step training, includes strength training and floor work.

Tai Chi* - Know for improving coordination, Tai Chi reduces stress & tension, & may lower blood pressure. Because of its many health benefits, Tai Chi comes highly recommended by the medical community.

Treadmill Running Class for Women* - Run at your own pace and distance with the help from a YMCA Coach. Learn running and fitness basics, build strength and endurance. {12 Treadmills}

Z-Health* - Z-Health, created by Dr. Eric Cobb, is a high tech, cutting-edge exercise system designed expressly for retraining your nerves and brain (the nervous system) for maximum performance, maximum recovery and maximum health.

YPersonal Fitness

Personal Training Services offered @ $30 per one hour session for YMCA Members and Non-members. YMCA Members can purchase a package of 5 Sessions for $125 or 10 sessions for $240.

Body Fat Testing is offered for a fee of $15 YMCA Members and Non-members.

Chair Massage is an affordable and convenient way to receive the many benefits of massage. Treat yourself to a 15 or 30 minute massage, and walk away feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
